Favourite thing about Blue Haven Public School: I love all the exciting innovating programs that focus on student welfare and engagement and the focus on back to the basics in literacy and numeracy. Why did you want to work in a school: I had always wanted to become a teacher but went onto pursue secretarial work like many girls in the mid 1970’s. I finally pursued my dream and went to Uni at 39 to become a teacher and started retraining to become a school counsellor at 51. I love my job, love helping and supporting children and their families.

Favourite thing about Blue Haven Public School: the amazing hardwork and dedication of all staff to provide the best learning environment possible for all our wonderful students. Why did you want to work in a school: I became a school counsellor/psychologist, after being a primary teacher, in order to provide more intensive support to students and their families and assist staff in maximising students’ wellbeing and learning outcomes.
